The Quick Settings feature on Android devices, once an overlooked aspect, has seen a revival with recent updates, particularly in Android 16 and Android 17. The update to Android 16 introduced resizable tiles, enhancing functionality, while Android 17 brought improvements such as distinct controls for Wi-Fi and mobile data, along with greater options for customizing the layout.
With these new customization capabilities, I’ve begun to configure my Android phones to allow easier access to various features directly from the Quick Settings panel. This adjustment stems from my view that the default selection of Quick Settings tiles on both Samsung Galaxy and Google Pixel devices tends to lack diversity.
