I Switched from 11 Mainstream Google Apps on My Android to These Open-Source Gems

Before anyone thinks I’m criticizing Google outright, it’s important to acknowledge that the tech giant has produced some outstanding applications for Android. Google Keep, Maps, and the Play Store are essential tools that I can hardly imagine living without. While it’s natural to expect high-quality offerings from the company that oversees the platform, there is a significant downside: relying on these Google applications can hinder your efforts to distance yourself from its ecosystem. Fortunately, a wide range of open-source alternatives is available to help you navigate this challenge.
