Google Launches Pixel 11 Series, Introduces AirTag Competitor, and Reveals Gemini Enhancements at Made by Google 2026

Google hosted its Made by Google event on Wednesday, introducing the Pixel 11 series, Pixel Watch 5, and a new competitor to Apple’s AirTag. The company also showcased enhanced devices powered by its Gemini AI technology.

Gemini Enhancements on Pixel Devices

During the event, Google focused on the Gemini AI and other innovative features arriving on its range of devices.

A significant update is the expansion of “Live Transcribe” for American Sign Language. Utilizing the Pixel Camera, this tool can convert sign language into text, facilitating non-verbal communication without the need for typed input.

Google also unveiled “Rambler,” an advanced voice input feature that understands natural speech patterns. Unlike traditional systems that require clear and precise sentences, Rambler accommodates run-on phrases, filler words, and informal speech, effectively discerning user intent.

Additional features include “Circle to Search,” which allows users to identify objects, search for distant items, translate text, or inquire about their surroundings directly through the Pixel Camera interface.

The Pixel 11 features a newly designed camera bar that is more than 40% thinner and now has an all-glass surface that spans the width of the device. Additionally, the base storage has been increased to 256GB, double the previous starting amount.

This model starts at $899, reflecting a $100 increase from the Pixel 10 as the 128GB option has been retired, influenced by ongoing RAM supply constraints.

Available colors for the Pixel 11 include Frost, Hibiscus, Pistachio, and Obsidian.

The Pixel 11 Pro and Pro XL emphasize durability, featuring enhanced drop resistance and a new anti-scratch coating that offers more than double the scratch resistance of the Pixel 10 Pro.

The starting price for the Pixel 11 Pro is $1,099, an increase from the Pixel 10 Pro’s $999.

These models come in Canyon, Fog, Olive, and Obsidian, with a special matte finish for the Obsidian variant this year.

Pixel 11 Pro Fold

The new Pixel 11 Pro Fold is approximately 10% lighter and almost 1mm thinner than its predecessor, boasting slimmer bezels, a 48-megapixel main camera, and a 30x Super Zoom feature.

Building on the IP68 water and dust resistance from the previous model, the Pixel 11 Pro Fold includes a glass-fiber composite back designed for improved durability, with a redesigned hinge that further protects the internal display, making it three times sturdier.

Color options for this model are Olive and Obsidian.

Available for $29, or $99 for a pack of four, the tags can also be tracked using a Pixel Watch. Users of Pixel Buds can issue voice commands to locate a Pixel Tag, providing an effortless tracking experience.

The 41mm model starts at $399, while the larger 45mm version begins at $429. Additionally, a special Stephen Curry edition is available for $579, designed with a unique focus on fitness activities.
