Meta Unveils Pocket: A Discreetly Launched Vibe-Centric Gaming Experience

Meta is branching into the gaming world with the introduction of a new application called Pocket. This app enables users to create small, interactive experiences and games using AI prompts. Developed following Meta’s acquisition of the team behind the vibe-coded platform Gizmo, Pocket is branded as “a creative platform for making and sharing gizmos,” referring to its interactive offerings. Users can also explore a feed featuring gizmos created by others.
Screenshots of Pocket on Google Play indicate significant similarities to Gizmo’s earlier app, which remains available. Similar to Pocket, Gizmo allows users to utilize written AI prompts for crafting interactive experiences, complete with a discovery feed.
Alessandro Paluzzi, a reverse engineer known for uncovering new apps and features, noted Pocket’s launch today and shared a screenshot of it from the Play Store on X. Data from Appfigures shows that Pocket was initially launched on June 29, 2026, across both the App Store and Google Play, though its debut is so recent that the analytics firm has no data on its download statistics yet.
Various media outlets, including Business Insider and Investing.com, have highlighted Paluzzi’s findings, while Meta has not provided any comments regarding this new app.
Pocket exemplifies Meta’s ongoing commitment to making AI creation tools more accessible to the general public. This follows their prior initiatives, which featured AI-generated images through their Meta AI app and AI videos via an app called Vibes. Furthermore, Meta has integrated AI capabilities across its social platforms and within its editing tool for creators, Edits.
Since Meta has not formally announced the launch of Pocket, it appears that the app may still be in the testing stage.
In contrast, its sibling Gizmo has already seen 635,000 total downloads across iOS and Google Play, boasting a 98% positive feedback rate.
