Lamborghini Introduces Wool to the Interior of Its 907HP Supercar

Lamborghini’s bespoke division, Ad Personam, has been customizing models like the Aventador, Huracán, and now the new Temerario since 2006, starting with a special edition of Gallardos showcased at the Paris Motor Show. Over the past two decades and with more than 400 exterior color options, this division has ventured into uncharted territory by incorporating wool into a production car’s interior.

This innovation debuted with a two-car set known as the Temerario Ad Personam, unveiled at the 2026 Goodwood Festival of Speed.

A Groundbreaking Addition to Lamborghini’s Interior

Understanding Gessato

The material used in this interior design is called “Gessato,” which translates to pinstripe in Italian. It is crafted from virgin wool, featuring a black base accented by a silver pinstripe. Unlike traditional, precisely aligned patterns found in formal attire, this design purposefully varies, mirroring the sharp contours and dynamic nature of the Temerario’s exterior.

The wool accents adorn the door panels, rear wall, and roof liner, complemented by high-quality leather, visible carbon fiber, and exquisite stitching. While wool may seem unconventional for a high-performance vehicle capable of exceeding 210 mph, Lamborghini selected it for its unique light behavior. The combination of different yarns imparts a three-dimensional aspect to the pinstripe, along with a soft, breathable feel that contrasts with the car’s digital displays and sharp finishes.

However, one of the two cars replaces wool with a more performance-oriented material. Models equipped with the Alleggerita weight-saving package feature Corsa Tex by Dinamica, an ultra-lightweight fabric that maintains the same non-uniform pinstripe aesthetic while reducing weight. This fabric also offers enhanced support for the driver during aggressive driving.

The first vehicle showcases a sleek Grigio Crater Matt exterior paired with Grigio Artis accents, designed to subtly trace the car’s contours. The second vehicle, in contrast, features a more daring palette of Celeste Fedra and Bianco Phanes accents, along with the matt Alleggerita package, drawing inspiration from technical illustrations and contemporary fashion.

Both vehicles exhibit fine graphic lines across their surfaces that resemble construction markings, similar to the initial sketches designers create to outline a car’s proportions before production. This detail reinforces a thematic connection between the exterior and interior, emphasizing the creative journey behind the car rather than solely presenting the final product.

What Ad Personam Offers

Unique Customization for Individual Owners

Ad Personam originated in 2006 and evolved into a dedicated department by 2013, followed by the establishment of its studio at Lamborghini’s Sant’Agata Bolognese headquarters in 2016. Most new Lamborghini models are now manufactured with some personalized elements, including custom colors, stitching styles, or material choices.

Clients collaborate closely with Ad Personam specialists and Lamborghini’s Centro Stile design team, choosing from an extensive palette of over 400 colors, as well as custom embroidery and stitching options that allow for far more than just selecting from preset choices. Even a standard Temerario offers three types of rims—cast, forged, and carbon—along with carbon fiber detailing for various components.

The Temerario Ad Personam escalates this concept, transitioning from standard options to a project built around an individual vision. It embodies the extreme end of bespoke customization, akin to how a tailor creates garments for one client at a time, rather than through mass production.

This personalized craftsmanship is particularly noticeable in the seats. While a standard Temerario features 18-way adjustable seats that are heated and ventilated, with a wide selection of colors and stitching patterns, the Ad Personam versions transform these seats into one-of-a-kind creations enhanced with Gessato inserts and coordinating leatherwork.

Performance Beyond the Craftsmanship

Underneath the luxurious interior, the Temerario retains the performance capabilities of a true Lamborghini. Its 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine is constructed entirely in Sant’Agata Bolognese and revs up to 10,000 rpm, generating 789 horsepower within a range of 9,000 to 9,750 rpm. When combined with three electric motors, the total power output reaches 907 horsepower.

This powerful combination propels the Temerario from 0 to 62 mph in just 2.7 seconds, and from 0 to 124 mph in 7.1 seconds, with a top speed exceeding 210 mph.

The car is built on a newly designed aluminum spaceframe chassis, which Lamborghini states is over 20% stiffer than that of the previous Huracán model. This foundation provides the Ad Personam duo with a track-ready performance while enveloping the cabin in a sophisticated fabric aesthetic.
