Telluride recently revealed one of its best-kept surprises in quite some time, according to sources. Audience members attended a 650-seat theater on Sunday evening with their devices securely stored away, unaware of the feature they were about to experience. They were only informed that the film ran for nearly three hours, had never been screened before, and that the main creators would be present. The unexpected debut turned out to be a new documentary by co-directors Nathan Fielder and Lance Oppenheim, focusing on Elizabeth Holmes, the founder of Theranos.
Titled “You Can See Everything,” this documentary portrays Holmes and her partner, Billy Evans, during the 34 days leading up to her incarceration in May 2023. Holmes is serving an 11-year sentence for deceiving investors regarding her blood-testing technology. Following her conviction, which faced several unsuccessful legal battles, her attempts to appeal were dismissed in February of the previous year. She later sought a different path by asking President Trump for a sentence commutation, but that request is still under review.
Fielder reportedly resided in the couple’s guest house throughout the filming, providing remarkable access to their lives. Additionally, there is buzz surrounding an A-list actress who becomes intertwined with the narrative. The film is set to be released by A24 this October, and a trailer is available for viewers to see soon.
